what is the best way to add a water fall to my map? making out of a cylender then applying the water!$ material comes up with errors (because i think its a cylender in the first place so it wont work) (and because i think it runs into my water!$ plane in the first place) but if i fix that i still get errors, am i doing it right or am i supposed to apply the stream bitmap from Test/tutorial/bitmaps? what should i do to acomplish a nice looking one?

well on my topic someone had the same problem.let me check for a sec.Well did you use the texture i said?Mb you could tile the texture yeah do that tile the texture in 3ds max.Its under UVW Mapping.Use a tile value around 5-10

Yeah that guy fixed the problem somehow but he didn't tell us how.Anyway i hope you see that water whole in Halo and not in sapien cause many people think that spaien looks like the end result

yeah its in halo... if you look closely at my pics of the gun i postesd and look in the middle of the level in the ditch its dark were the fog is but there is no water mask layer thingy...
so hows the waterfall tut coming?

Omg i have som much work to do.But its basically the sam as water make the plane vertical give it the a30 texture and later the shader. You can optimize it a little bit later

If you tile the water it works and fixes the big whole in the middle
ive been doing alot of school work and havent had time to try the water fall out yet but i will do it this afternoon.
ok i got it to export i even found the shader but for some reason i cant ess the waterfalls in sapien i even followed the waterfall tut on halowiki...

There's also a waterfall scenery object that comes with the HEK... you add it in Sapien after the BSP has been built.

You guys missed something basic. Don't add the $ in the name. That's a fog layer. Fog Layers only work in flat areas, and there can only be one.

omg yes sunny i forgot that.DOn't add the fogmlayer sign to it ohterwise tool will give you a "two fog planes are intersecting" error
