my latest wip~ midfall remake (bases finally [pics at bttm])

here is a remake of the map that i never finished named midfall. this is just the land portion, and i still need to touch up those textures and add the buildings. all the grey is the water that will be going in, and i still need to add more. it is a map placed in the center of a waterfall where it flattens out for just a seccond before falling off again into an abys of water. anyways here is A pic. (dont want to give it all away ;)

heres an update pic, im plannin to add anouther cylindrical support below that 1, the bases are underway, but im keppin those secret for now, the water is also pretty much done to.

WOW :o That's amazing! I'm working on a map myself and I need to know how to make good water like you did. Very nice looking except I don't like the grass...it looks really fake(no offense)everything else looks incredible though! I hope you can get it done soon. I wish you a smooth export of this map. I can never fix many of the errors I get
(*Z BUFFERED TRIANGLES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: :evil: )and I'd like to know how to fix Z buffered triangles(maybe it's an easy fix and I'm just stupid but I really havn't seen how to fix it).

I must agree on the grass, it looks pretty funny but the rest is amazing.

thanks guys but the grass just looks funy from a distance, it looks good up close, and how do i know, ... well, its the grass in blood gulch lol heres a pic of teh grass in gmax up close

Needs smoothing, but otherwise looks like great fun, looks nice as well. Great work!

hmm.. it shouldnt need soothin, wait, your lookin at teh pics of the bases of the grass and stuff in the bg, those are unsmothed cause i needed to see what way ythe poly gons were angled, and its easier to see them when they dont have any smoothing groups. but yea the grass ysyally does have soeme smoothing groups

here are some update pics. one more buildin i think and thats it or it will be way to high polly. atm it comes in just over 8500 pollys (thas includin the water and stuff, the bsp is 5200 somethin) anyways heres some over view pics and pics of the garage fot the blue base. thanks guys, it should be a pretty quick release, all i have to do is add 1 more garage (im still deciding on that actually) and then fix these damn errors that keep on poping up out of nowhere (damn chimp)
