HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

I'm not really experienced with all of this modeling everyone is doing.
I've gotten one map that I've made to work that I made in Gmax, so I can map...sorta..I would definatly say that my map is not the best there is.
Other than that I'm clueless...
Questions...

1. How would I design a gun/vehicle/etc.? (Not like..after you have already made the model, I mean create the model itself).
2. I've seen somewhere that it is "near impossible to make a working vehicle and such from scratch." Is that true? And if so how can someone make a unique model from another existing one?
3. I have Gmax because I'm just a kid and all. I AM thinking about getting a student licence. Is it worth it? Should I get a 1 year term or go ahead and get the full?
Sorry I'm posting all these questions...I'm new to the forums (Just joined Halomods today[I've visted for awhile though])...if you can answer them that would be very helpful.
Also please don't criticise me if I posted a question that has already been answered.

First check out some modeling tutorials and model your vehicle, then the .tag part is hard, I had everything right once out in sapien and it closed. IT is hard. I can help a little bit Im me

Well you see..
I mean how to create the model. Everyone is saying what to do AFTER you make it. I've tried using google to search for tutorials for doing this but
they are either to complicated or have nothing to do with halo and I'd like it if it was more related to it so i know exactly what I'm doing.
If you could help me create one then I'd really appreciate your help!
