I guess thats alright considering it is your first, but you cant just create shapes you need to meve the vertices around....also practiice makes perfect look at my first and present day.

thanks for leaving some feedback. by the way what program do you think is the best, GMax, Milkshape or 3d Max and if possible a download to them

3Ds max in my opinion. You can get a trial here. (on that link, the download link is at the top of the page where it says "To receive a free 30-day trial download, fill out and submit the online form.")

And if I were you I would check out Katarn's Gun Modeling Post.
Later in that post he has links to a plane modeling video tutorial. I would really check those out, plane modeling is a very efficient way of modeling, sure it takes longer, but you get SUPER accurate models, and use the least amount of polygons possible. The way you modeled that gun (Called Primitive modeling, because you drag out a bunch of shapes, or primitives, to make the gun) is VERY inefficient, you waste tons of polygons, and the models don't look that good in the end.

do i have to fill out that form tho? and if you have too many polys, why is that bad?

Okay, basically, too many poly's=slowdowns in games. The way he modelled that gun, he just edited a gun exported from HMT in OBJ format, moved vertices around, and imported back in.

Personally, I wouldn't consider that even a custom gun, it's the same thing moved around. Try modelling from scratch. You get better results, custom UV mapping with a custom texture, markers, etc.

i dont think i have that time tho :x any way i dont think i will be able to download that 3d max because my bro's are strict when i comes to downloadin stuff. oh yeah and i've did do some verticies in that model by myself but like i said i dont have the time to go from scratch that would take forever if i was doin it
