HaloMods "Classic" Read-only Archive

ok, ive been looking at this site forever and i havent found a skin mod for Halo The PC game. if anyone finds some on here please tell me and please include instructions on how to install it if there is any.... Thanks

you might want to go to the files forum of the site and into haloPC cuz they are there. To put them on just open hmt go to bitmaps then the the thing your putting the skin on and click inject texture.

When you have the bitmap open HMT go into [bitm] and go to warthog and select inject texture and pick the 8-ball hog bitmap

ok HMT is halo mapping tools it is used for a lot of halo pc modding.
A bitmap is a picture.
You inject the picture using halo mapping tools so it works in halo pc.

This tutorial should get you well on your way to basic modding of Halo for PC. Have fun.

ok i am downloading the HMT ,Now what

Have you extracted the .rar file to a folder? You'll need a program that can read .rar compression. (.rar files are alot like .zip files in that they take a big file and pack it down to a small size) This (right-click and 'save') is a trial version from http://www.rarlab.com

After you extract HMT to a folder browse through it untill you find an icon labeled HaloMapTools.exe. This is HMT3.5. If it doesn't run that's because you don't have the .net framework on your computer. Get it here.

After you have HMT opened up, download and read this tutorial. It should tell you everything you need to know.
