Texturing problem
How come when i texture a ghost or a banshee the old banshees texture still shows under the texture that i make am i saving wrong or something how can i delete the old texture or do i replace it
Yeah, that problem happened to me too. I can't seem to get any textures I make to work right. Like, I made Keyes's hair green. I convereted it back to a Texture 1, minimap file. When I get into the game his hair is black from far away. When I get up close his hair goes to green, but you can still see underneath the grey.
I still can't figure out why all the textures I make come out black far away, but normal up close. Anybody got the answers?

its your mipmap level.. you will notice if u keep your textures all the same and change mipmap level (found in your windows and graphic card properties outside of halo game) then the level of detail is only noticible up close.. and this also occurs with smaller reses.. you have to open up the whole texture mipmap.. (available in photoshop, but i dont kno how many other tools.. sry) theres a option when u import.. thats what ur problem is tho
