WIP: coldmine, weekly update thread*PIC's!!*

Ok first thing first.
i know i'm relatively new to halo modding, made a few verry good mods , not for public, like perfect energy sword like 2 jears ago...

ssry for link only but these are .BMP's
this map will include:
- - animated lift
- like 7 versions (halo 2, halo, original, story, goldmine, messed up music)
- in goldmine/story edition, flag will be replaced by a bucket with gold, the weapons will be fully in golddiggers style, including custom made.
- animated mine train (something like the death train in terminal but now usefull for lifting a part to the other base
- verry unstable nature formed stone bridge, usefull to get faster to the other base but a few shots and the whole thing will fall in the big hole beneath it.
- Much more!
Current credits:
- Gonna stick (modeler of some things)
- Caz (tagger)

Update friday 5th of august
- minetrain allmost ready, new "flagg"ready, just a little bit adjusting with the maps, started at the animation.
- the map model's red base ready, lift allmost ready, bitmaps like 90 procent.
total progress: 10%
things we have to do (begin at)
making the nature stone bridge, verry much of the level model,
gathering/creating wheapons, building the tags, placing everything in sapien, using gorilla, making the 7 differnet modes.
just something nice for you to stare at:

the full minetrain, as you can see, needs a bit of djusting to the wheel's bitmaps...

even the wheels are so detailed! bump mapping and reflection...
hang on for the next update!

Update friday the 12th of august
Ready are:
- minelamps (scenery)
- minetrain (scenery)
Update:
- my modeler (gonnastick) is working hard on the map, model almost ready
, bitmaps ready.
- bussy with portable lamp
Things to do:
- Animate minetrain
- create bridge
- creating/finding custom weapons
- all sapi

Update thursday 25th of august (this is just pretty original cuz its me 3lit3/gonna stick)
It took a while but here it is. THE UPDATE OF GONNA STICK:
- elevator model finished (took me 2 sec)
- tags of minetrain and minelamp done by caz
- moddel of storymode
(beta) 95 % done.
- portable torch (home made (see pic)) finished
- other bsp of other versions of coldmine 30 % done.(had to be redone couz of lag)
- made some pics of the map (notice that some bitmaps are slightly changed)

Update thursday 1st of september (done by 3lit3/gonna stick)
A lot happened last week. And I can tell you it's all going great. Here the things done this week:
- Animation of elevator and the 2 trains
finished (the falling train is super realistic!)
- Model of storymode (beta) finished. (Yeah! now i going to get my carots becouse you promissed me gaurdian!!!)
- breakle bridge is comming soon so the map might have it's final touch

- No new pics of the map this time. sorry

. But gaurdian is making an video. I can tell you: it's going to be fantastic!
- Gaurdian is working on a control tower (also useble as a sniper tower)
- I've made some stalagmits and some stalaktits (just to make it all more realistic) Also
finished.
Just a notice. The map isn't only containing a desert and a house. Please check the third pic posted (cold mine 3). And there is much more but you'll have to wait to see it .
Total progress: 90%

1. Don't have a weekly update every week, unless someone actuallym gives a crap about the project.
2. Don't have a 'current projects' sig unless you are actually good and know what you're doing.
Yes, if you want to ban me, I don't care. This place is a blowhole!

1. there are enough people who cares about the map.
2. we are good and we know what we're doing.
btw i've made an update tool to check when the new map is comming out so
here it is.

I like it. But... fix the verts so the faces align straightly!

Btw.. a little heavy on the bump maps.

the idea is above a big field with mountains, rivers and forests,
in the litle house, there is an alivator that brings you down and there does the actual map begins!!!!

Not a lot happend this week

. we actually found every error message we could get by exporting the file

. We're still trying to fix that.during this time we'll make a video of the map. Just to have something to show ya.

Hmm it looks pretty good so far on some models. I just haven't seen a pic of the bsp yet. Apart from that simple mine house. But looks pretty good. I hope you can get it ingame.

CAZ FOR MODELING AND TAGGING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the model of my previous modeler is that screwed up that it prbably has to be redone completely!!!!
this will not take as long as the previous time...
now: some better maps on the materials, better bitmaps, more ideas, not only a big flat desert but in the background there will come mountains, rivers, forsts, caves and all kinda stuff.
there will be a possibility to get there to.....
didn't began on the movie yet caurse of the new model, if the new model is finished it will take like 4 weeks to get everything done. dont forget: there are 7 versions+ the new cinematic version is 8 versions!!!!
so... stay tuned for tha updates!!!!

update september 20th
Nm to update this time but 1 big dig difference; it's not gonna be 1 lonely miners hut but a small town around it...
caurse of the storyline it will not be a normall city....
and for the model: to prove it's messed up, i'm going to release the current model of my previus modeler once the map's gonna be released!!!
thats it for now... pic's as soon as i see caz on-line...

okok it was messed up but not that much. there where sevral bad things.
but btw about the textures. IF I find some I'll replace them for even better ones. and thats also for the piano.
