How do you get that smooth, porcelain type effect? It's like the gun is made out of mint or something...and its all smooth....
In all my renders, the gun is grey. Flat grey.

First of all, I will *try* to pretend you haven't bumped this topic by nearly a month.
Second of all, to do that you have to make a material which is all crazy-like, then apply it to the gun. Then add some fully-sick rims...oops, I mean lighting...

You can get it through Skylights and Omni lights (be sure to allow shadows, and fool with multipliers).
Using differen rendering systems is also a good idea, probably a better one if you can get them. Making these "clay" renders with the soft shadows is easy in Brazil, or Brazil Rio (the free version).
Nice models

The barrel seems a little slanted, but that may just be the angle tricking my eyes.
Who cares if somebody bumps it? His question was still a valid one, even if it's late. He has full right to ask it, up until the topic get's locked.
