[WIP] SwoopTank

Post by Gavel »

Well, this would be my latest model. I modeled it off a concept drawing I drew up. I think it looks pretty damn nice!

The name is about all I could come up with. I have several projects underway and in concept so far and I am hoping to finish soon. Did it all on my laptop :D .

Skinning will come later. I need more experience in UVW mapping and
stuff so skinning it isn't coming soon.

It's currently 912 poly's.
Good bye.

Wow thanks guys! I could not come up with much to add to the details, but here is what I have so far:

I was thinking of just having a skin on the instead of actually modeling the treads' treads. Like the Scorpion's treads in Halo.

Lots of plural tread words in that last paragraph  .

I worked mostly on the turret, and can't seem to find a good place to put a machine gun (yeah, I did think about putting one on). I am thinking about putting two one both sides of the main cannon. Those two boxes sticking out of the tank body (see next pics) are small mini missile launchers. Still can't think of anything to add to the back body.

Hope you like  .

I think I'm in love... with this tank that is.

Whoa. Thanks! I don't have a scanner or digital camera but, my cousins across town do :D . I would have to go over there to scan them in.

I only have one drawing you could do I will head over to my cousins house to scan it in later. All my other ones I kind of want to do on my own. I will be online on AIM during that time as well, I can only connect my laptop to the internet there, seeing as this is on 56k AOL.

Just started on fixing some problems on the model like how you get in it, and how the cannon moves up and down.

I will skin it some time today. Or at least UVW map it.
Good bye.

Awesome model. Katarn, I might take you up on that offer for my Call of Duty mod Insurgency (set 50 years before Halo, Marines vs. rebels).

Stretch the Tank out (length ways), it's way to compact.
