Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Luffy Player Model

Post by Danke »

I probably won't release or finish this, but it was my first time making a character/biped and I'm quite proud of it. It does need a little more in the width department (he's pretty squarish from his back to his chest, I can fix that)

It's something around 2K Polys, most in the face and most of those I should reduce. I plan on remaking the straw hat, it doesn't look too good as it is now. I also need to skin it, which'll be a breeze. Also, need to detail the hands, add sandals, fix shoulder.

My main ref:

And I just realized that he's in my sig now, so:

Lol, i either model loony toon characters or retards when i get bored, got a whole collection of them.

I like that you have tried to include some gravity in the clothes to make the wrinkles, its pretty good for the most part

That almost made sense. But then it didn't. LOLOOLLLLOOOOLLLLLL :P zomgkthxbye.

I fixed the shoulder. Does anyone know if the perspective view distorts the X axis in renders (and viewport), because a friend commented that it looked stretched, especially his face which it does and I can't figure it out.

basically, you're seeing the head in perspective on the right. in the front view, to the left, it's a false, orthagonal view. it may seem stretched but it's not.

Dude. No. Do you even know who Katarn and Snaf are? They are some of the few 1337est modelers that have ever set foot in CE. =D
