First model, I think it's pretty good... FINISHED! PICS!

Well, I'm *trying* to learn how to model. So far my SMG (my own design) is a couple of splines thrown together. What I need to know is if you can chamfer in Gmax, as I tried the bevel function for the grip but it didn't give me the result I was after. I'm too lazy to post pics at the moment, but basically what I want to do is chamfer the grip and the top of the receiver. Just for reference my model is kinda like a cross between the MP5 and a pistol.
Any help would be great

Right click on the model, convert to editable mesh, right click again go to chamfer edge, select the edge you want then chamfer it.

Thanks heaps
EDIT: Something stuffed up on one side, my fault most likely. I'm fixing it as I type, but also wondered how to 'cut out' sections. I know you can do it with Booleans but a) I can't find the option and b) I've heard many bad things they do. I'm trying to 'cut out' the ejection port and cocking lever slide. So far File Properties tells me my poly count is under 1000, about 952 actually, so I'm happy. Still got one or two things to do, but on the whole it's all good

. Screens soon
EDIT 2: Screen! (Note: I've added a few details since)
EDIT 3: OMG!!!!!1!!oneone!!

Finished model with vertex paint finish.
My friend Joel ('Muff') is gonna try get it ingame in CS: Source. Any help getting it into CE as well would be great
I might do a Barrett M82 next.

Thanks.
And it's not an MP5, its my own design loosely based on the MP5. Basically its a slightly different shape and a bit smaller, hence it being a compact SMG. Still needs skinning and animations, both of which I have no idea how to do.

Try a pistol next.
I think a Desert Eagle or HK USP .45 would be nice.
