GMAX MAPPING.. is it possible?

is it posible to create a level using gmax?...my 3ds max time ran out :( ...And if so is it possible to export it as .jms file format?

no not the programm its the plugin which makes all the problems

You can't animate either :(

You can buy a 1 year student lisence of 3ds max. This costs about $200 or something. 3ds max is ur best bet for 3d moddeling.

yeah i have chimp, im creating a level now im just gunna go ahead and try... ill be a little pist off if it doesnt work tho....i have lots of great ideas just no money.lol.

you could get the export to .md3 plugin for gmax, make friends with someone who has milkshape and 3ds, and have them go through the process of exporting to the right file for HEK.

You can animate in gmax, just not with any reactor scripts. And a 2 year student liscece is about $120 in 3ds max 7. Check out the trial of it, or wait till max 8 comes out (probably around november probably at a guess) and get a liscence then.

You can create leves using gmax, most quake custom maps are made with gmax with a game mod pack on it which they should have made for halo, or someone should make one..

the reason halo ce doesnt support gmax is because that requires a 86 thousand dollar license from discreet..

gearbox wont pa y for something it gets no return on...

no thanks... just use usermade scripts... anyways... why develop a plugin for a game when all you dont make any money off it?

for the qauke maps you got another programm i made quake 3 levels a few years ago

You can use gmax with somthing called.. ahh whats it called.. oh tempest, thats the one. Renegade has one aswell, so do some other games.
