Skinning

How do you create skins for new models?

I have 3dsmax and photoshop
Signiture may not exceed 500x120 and 75 Kb.

You create a uvw unwrap for your model
You then use a plugin called texporter which you have to download and turn your co ordinates into an image.
Then you use photoshop to edit this image.
Then you drag the image icon onto your model in 3ds max and you can edit it and everything.

Import you mean? I would like to know that actually.

I made a video tutorial on how to unwrap sometime back. I'll have to make another one.

Use HMT and open a map file, then locate to the bitmaps folder and then you have all the skins, take the skin, open it, edit it and then "inject" it back into that map file.

I have made a few unwraping tutorials which havnt been released, maybe i will release them one day...

Just find the model and export it as an onj, same program you use (HMT) and it is easier to edit the model in a program called milkshape 3d.

Yes it is, but you need to put this plugin in your C:\3dsmax7\Plugins or similar for whatever 3ds max version you are using.

http://www.gold-software.com/OBJImportf ... ew5335.htm

Download it from there.
