Someone should make a tutorial on how to do this. Someone that knows how to do it really well. This question is over-asked.
What I would do is make a tutorial in 3ds max, and make another one in gmax. That would reduce problems a lot.

Any takers on this tutorial? I would do it, but I don't make water that often and I would probably just confuse ppl.
Only make this tutorial if you really understand how to do this.

in gmax.. just get a water texture and put it on, or model it but that would need to be high polygon and so would only be good for a screenshot.

You wouldn't be able to go under the water with that :(

Pie is working on the tutorial now!

Talked to him through PM and AIM.

For those of you who dont know, Pie makes the best tutorials. This tutorial is going to be awesome.

And boy, are they AWESOME!

These tutorials are one of the many reasons I am progressing so fast on halomods. Thanks for making them Pie. Maybe one day you should release them though, I hate keeping things to myself!

His tutorials are the reason I know anything about modeling today :)

So yes, they are damn good!

And don't ask me for them, I won't give them to anyone. Your gonna have to ask Pie. It wouldn't be right for me to give something that I didn't make away. I'm sure Pie would give them to anyone who asks, though.

In the advanced rendering one, i was blowing bubbles while it rendered...i think you can even hear it.
