I recently took up a map making job, which includes water and it, and I was wondering- how in the world do you make water? Could somebody give me a link to a tutorial or explain how to put it in somehow? Is it in Sapien or do you model it in? Thanks for the help.

How do you make water that expands like the ocean, like it does on Death Island...?

"water" is the name of a good water shader. its basically just moving bump maps. its used in one of the skys. "water". (w/o the ""s)

Water has nothing to do with bump mapping. If you open up the water shader in Guerilla you can see it uses mathematically generated wave patterns with specular effects and a cube map. That's why the water can look crap on low end cards that don't support specular stuff.
