The tutorial chronicles has begun. I have the trial of camtasia and have started filming. I'm done the setting up and modeling part 1 sections. The size is relatively large (modeling part 1 is 25 minutes long and is 130 megs) but the framerate is reasonable and size is 1600x1134, huge, and reducable.

well depends....what are you odeling? Cuz a tut on making a vehicle that works would be really nice right about now...lol

Great Katarn, can't wait to see it! . He said in his earlier post that he's making a weapon.

I'm making the tutorial on modeling the weapon and not putting it ingame.

I'd like to see this tutorial - It will probably be pretty god considering how picky you are on gun models katarn!

If you can't find anyone to host it here, try over at Gearbox forums. There are a couple friendly people who I'm pretty sure wouldn't mind giving you space to upload your tutorials.

yomama has space, but, ahem, he wants money. Maybe if we get enough people to petition that he gives his space to these tutorials for free, he'll do it.

anyways, modeling part 2 is finished. modeling part 2 (part 3) is 35 minutes long and 175 megs.

How much money is he asking?

i'm not sure, but he said he wouldn't do it for free. Even at the reward of helping the community.

Ask him how much and I might chip in with a couple people to pay him. Unless you find someone else to host it for free.

wow, i didn't knw u guys wanted these tutoirals so much. And i've got the full version of camtasia (non trial) so i can do a bunch of these.

Hehe, the halo community doesn't have nearly as much tutorials as it should have so any tutorial on anything made for the halo community is important.

Talk to Grenadiac and see if you could get it hosted here. Might not happen but it's worth a try.

Make it so its like 1024x765 cuz its hard for me to see it like that ...Heheh...If you can't find any one Ill host them..But I dont pay the guy that gave me cpanel, so Ill ask him first probably.

i've got a host now. It's 2 gigs, and 50 gigs of bandwith a month. And i have the domain www.videotuts.net Once i finish all the vids, i'm going to host them there, but i need other people to host with unlimited bandwith afterwards. Since inevitably, i'm going to run out of bandwith. I can only keep this account free for 6 months, so i might still need that money, if you guys want more tutorials (from lots of people) to keep the site online after that, with unlimited space and unlimited bandwith.

How much you need? You could make a big video tutorial site .

I wouldn't know actually, i'm still looking around. 1and1 only goes up to 4 gigs of hard drive space.
