how do you turn maps into scenario tags??

gotta use tool, donmt know much but that, also try the custom weapons tutorial, it shoudl help :)

no way to turn .map into .scenario (if that is what you mean)

plus, why would they allow that? it results in stealing.

Yes, agreed Pie, and if I go on to talk about it, it'll go up like 100x in size :shock:

Yeah, it results in Stealing.

A map maker makes a genious weapon with deadly FP animations.
He compiles the map, and posts it online.
You download, "un"-map it, and steal all the little furry contents out of it. You never know when someone can just take your content and act like it was theres, or use if for something you didn't want to the public to be using it for.

That's why I quit Halo PC, and modding Halo PC.

my friend was workin on a tool decompiler, he doesnt play much halo but he is a genious at programming

he never finished work on it, he said that when he tried to decompile the maps that the it took over eight hours to finish(this was on BG) and that the files were not recognizable by sapien or guerrilla

Hitmen, there are already tools out there that can do this, perfectly.

They are not public, though, and that's a good thing. Or else, all custom maps full be fully editable by people the creator doesn't want to get edited by.

cause im trying to re-make bloodgulch with new weapons and vehicles..... it is legal to rebuild isnt it?

If you are trusted enough, you can ask someone who has a tag converter to convert the .map of Blood Gulch to a .tag-editable format.

I have exported th Blood Gulch model and tagged it into Halo CE myself. Thanks to the help of Gecko :wink:

wouldnt u just be able to export a pc level by using sparkedit to make it an obj then imporing the obj in 3ds max to export to halo?

Yes. But when you do that it comes with all the faces flipped, AND many open edge errors. Takes a tad but more work. It also does not come with the skin
