OK ive been following the video tuts and everything but for the life of me i cannot get the texture to match like its supposed to around the base. I do just as he says under Editable mesh and delete the faces surrounding the base. I then create new polys to attach the base. After that I give it the ID of 2. The the texure is all swirled and not normal, it like the whole bitmap but distorted and minimized when I want it to be that perticular part of the map. Sometimes I get lucky as I did a while ago and get it to showup normal under UVW unwrap and UVW map, but sofar it ALWAYS is screwed up when I click the Editable mesh tab.
Anyway I exported it an everything getting all happy that everything worked untill in Sapien I went up for a quick arial look and got extremely pissed by the screwed bitmaps and no bases ( I couldnt detach the bases without getting an open edge error or something like that). For the love of god I would even email the stupid thing to someone to fix it for me im freakin desperate lol! Thanks
Oh BTW Ill attach a pic, You can immagine how awsome this will be for a small game of CTF, I just need to add scenery (which will also make it a hell of alot better.
I know the sky needs to be changed too I just wanted to see what it looked like since its my first map

I had this problem alot of times, I dunno how to fix it and I would like to know how to make it not happen...Also NICE textures. When I make them they end up sucking like hell.

Re texture the ground and it will fix, or go into the UV's and see if you can just edit it through that.

unapply the ground texture or somethign (it auto saves the UVW) and then select everything, apply the ground thing again (the UVW should take place as it did when you choose the UVW Wrapping--or whatever it is called, i'm not on my computer--)
Then it should be all working together fine.
If you didn't understand any of that, i can re-type it more clearly when i get home....

ok, i guess ill try that out. Cant wait till I get to put in the scenery! Also just wondering if there is an easy way to make it rain, actually on second thought I dont care if its easy or not

. Also does anyone have a recomendation for a stormy sky to match the rain? I wanted the level to be stormy and dark and this would definantly make it look cool too. Thanks for your help.

I know, INTERNET EXPLORER IS DESTROYING YOUR MAP!
Ehm, I mean...
Sapien really doesn't render the map the way it should be most of the time, nor does it make the world behave like it's supposed to. Keep that in mind.

no its not sapien, at least for the texturing anyway. See the last shot (obviously) was taken from 3ds max, im just now gonna try it and see if it works.

damn, it didnt work. Anyone who would try fixing it? That would be great
Its "3ds max scene" is only 229KB so I could email it to someone, Ill give you credit but it probably would mean nothing since this isnt really a big project lol. Thanks

select all the ground faces and UVW it again then edit uvw to align the cliffs etc... yea i know its a pain thats why i always model the entire map before textureing i hate UVWing

no i dont have to do any ajusting it fits perfect, its just nomadder what i CANT SEEM TO GET THE TEXTURE DISTION GONE. oops caps. Anyway I got it to show up right in the UVW tab, but when I click the edit mesh tab it goes back to the old distorted one, whats up with that?
<EDIT>
Here is an example, the first pic is when I have the Edit Mesh thingy selected and as you can see its a bit distorted. Now the second picture is when I have the UVW map thing highlighted and you can clearly see the difference.

I Guess im off to see if anybody made any bases that I could use because I havent a clue on how to make bases you can walk into lol. Maybe I can export BG's bases that would be nice! Thanks again ill go ahead and delete those huge pics
