Some textures I can't edit, but others I can! Help!

So, I edit one of the textures in BG in photoshop by changing the hue colors, and when I inject my lovely new texture I get 2 errors:

error #1: "The texture you are trying to import is smaller than the existing data. HMT will update the size"... [click OK]

error #2: "Image being injected must be DXT1" [it is]

I'm pretty sure I'm doing this right because it has worked before with no problem. I'm editing the sky by the way. It is so far the only texture I haven't been able to edit (I can do banshees, warthogs, etc with no problem). I'm 100% sure that I'm saving it as DXT1 when I save it. What's wrong here? Why would some textures work but not others?

make sure that the texture your replacing is of the same type as what you save it as. If it says it's DXT2/3, make it a DXT2 in PS if it's a DXT1 make it a DXT1 in PS.

Praise the lord! It works in dxt3! I guess I just assumed it's DXT1 b/c of the error message. Oh well. Thanks, U are the man! 8)

There's this one texture that is not dxt at all, it says "A8R8G8B8". How do I save that?

N/M, "CX8VU8" works...I think...
