cubemap banshee1.dds.1.dds - How do I modify it?

cubemap banshee1.dds.1.dds - How do I modify it?

I know for when modifying a skin when I save it I need to have it create new mip maps and I need to have alpha 1 bit selected. When I try to do that for this file though it goes from 17kb to 3kb and the shine effect looks all screwed up on the banshee ingame. How do I go about saving this file to keep it in the original format?

if you chose no alpha choose alapha, if you chose alpha choose no alpha

Still doesn't get me the 17kb file size that I should be getting (gives me a 3kb one)

That isn't the cube map though. I know there is a reason for it to be 17kb versus this 3kb that I get when I follow any method I've seen so far. Odd.
