An early beta pic (before those renders)

BTW: I can't compress to get the better one with custom scenery and snow and everything thanks to some degenarte triangle error.
If somebody can fix it, I'll continue this map.

That looks pretty cool, But i think you should add some displacement to the floor, its very flat, but I think it looks very good, also the cliff could doo with some displacing, just make some minor displacement details to the terrain is my criticizm.

Nice, but on the first pic you should tone it down a little, I think we get that its the red base.

I finnaly finished fixing the error.
But I'm working on another map, grasslands city.
I was gonna post it yesterday until max7 got a error.

I got some error, so I gotta redo the shaders.
And I have this SUPER nice building.
Pics tomarrow.
T/M I'm gonna show you the part that make it look like a city.

im sorry but i think it looks sh.itty
but im not just gonna say its s.hit and leave, im gonna help u out.
I think that the ground needs to be smoother, and that yu should add more scenery than just rocks and trees
also, make the ground texture tile better, try and make it not have a black spot in the middle or anything, it looks too tiley and more like a 3ds max model than a real life map.
i like the signs, they look good.
to help it you should make some new vehicles and weapons to add to the map, and just remember when making new vehi's and weaps, its the fun or power you get out of the weapon or vehi that matters, not its skin or model. (although model helps

)
and another thing, its a box map... *shudder* not another boxey map...
you gotta fix those walls, or at leats think up a storyline that wuld suit the square walls (like i did)
otherwise, its ok, add the snow shader for the ground aswell, so it has the shiny bump map and stuff and the sound.
kep it up man, get it finehsed and release it, dont make 20+ maps like me and never release them, like me.
im hopeing my latest map will get released.
oh and P.S get rid of the random red and blue lasers through the map.

Yea, I don't model much 2 hours a day MAX.
And my cpu is always laggy and it's a beta.
So I didn't take as much time adding trees.
I will make it more displacing.
I never turned on smoothing that much because then I might get some poly crap.

Advice: Remove those textures like that WinXP texture. Kinda lame. Other than that, it's coming along nice, Good luck!

and btw smoothing doesnt make errors, or make it look smoother, basicly the lightmaps are smooth, its mainly for high poly things, likie a cylinder, or a hill or something, but in game u can still see the polygons

Ofcourse you can see them, but they aren't as sharp. Thats the point of smoothing or it wouldn't even be there.

unless i misunderstood somthing thats not what excalibur ment. he means like faces on a wall. go and play any ce map and look at a wall.(like fissure falls) you can barly see the polygons. Hes not talking about bsp.(actual solid parts that arnt walls)

I'll smooth it more.
But smoothing groups is on and I already did one ms smooth.
More updates soon.
BTW: 117 is one of the beta testers of beta #3.
I'm only accepting 2 more people for a total of 4.
And I'll give you the new pics first to see if you really want to beta.
EDIT: I bout to mak these two new sound tags.

Like, I'm getting this error in sapien and it keep closing...
So when I restart it and if it still don't work.
Maybe somebody can do all the sapien stuff please.
If so you just gotta get weapons and the other stuff.
And if so then I gotta give you the scenery.
But their is a low chance of that.
