Wow, looks nice. But, like you said, polys. :P

Anyways, try and make it a wee bit less blocky. I'm no expert at modeling, so I won't say anymore than that..

I made it blocky on purpose.
I turn off the smoothing group to indentify the poly's easier.

if you plan on putting that into halo, then u might want to take out the little details in it. that would lower the poly count by a good bit.

Their is 14 open edges.
And I can't take them out their too tiny to notice.
Then when I click select op[en edges and delete it, theirs to many verticies.
So I made a pistol but I got a problem, details here:

UPDATE
So far, I'm just making scenery now.
And lots of good ones.
I would post screen shots but thanks to the degenarate triangle error.
The bitmaps won't compile causing the map not to compile :(

i might be wrong but i thought the sealed world rules didnt apply for weapons or maybe thats not what it has to do with im confused never mind

no man. they don't apply. so u can go and bring ur polys down and put it into halo. that's what i love so much about maknig weapons.

I like that, I might try to get a weapon beta.
Because I'm making a snow map until I get halo2.
But I'm getting a degenarate triangle error that = no radiosity or group bitmaps tag.
So I can't build the cache file so until I fix it, I'm using an other test map so be ready to see a good weapon in-game :)
Any people want to beta my test map?
Because when I didn't ask for the fun of it I put bots.

Its pretty nice, but the whole middle part looks like a couple rectangles stuck together :? This is really out of place, since the whole rest of the model looks nice and round, and then it goes right to boxyness.

And boy, you gave us enough angles :lol:
