How do you apply the bumpmap to the texture?

I have these textures I extracted from Doom 3 and their kinda wierd. The regular texture is okay but the other texture makes it 3D but it is in a rainbow color. Any solutions?

the second "Map" is actually called a normal map, Nvidia has tools to apply it, I can't remember the name though, so you can view it in Max

hey chillout man. Some people like to call it the bumpmap or whatever. It makes it easier to differenciate them. While both may be maps, some people refer them to as a regular map and bumpmap. There is nothing wrong with that.

Resevoir i don't think you understand what hes saying, a bumb map is different from that, he's telling you that its a normal map and a bump map is something different.

Oh I know what he means. But that has nothing to do with the topic. I need to apply the 3d texture to the 2d texture to make a colored texter. Now what do I do?
