Unwrap UVW Help

Ok, I am having a problem with nuwrapping a texture. I'm trying to make a light on the ceiling and I only want a certain light. When I unwrap the texture and make it exactly how I want it. When I click on something else on the screen, a message pops up saying:
"A modifier exists in the stack that depends on the topology. Changing the parameters may have undesirable effects.

The dependant modifier is: Unwrap UVW

Are you sure you want to continue?

Hold/Yes, Yes, No"

I click Yes and then try to export my level. But it says it can't export it anymore and it will close. When I delete the Unwrap UVW from the list, which also has Editable Mesh and UVW Map, and export it works fine. The texture I am using is "dangercanyon_lights_blue.tif" and im trying to use the large circle light. It always says this message when I try to unwrap a UVW.

So what am I doing wrong and how do I get the Unwrap UVW to work properly?

You add another UVW Unwrap into the modifier stack after the UVW map, then edit the new one.

EDIT: Oops....I misread your post....I dunno what's going on then man....something's messed up. :?

I just noticed this, its with any plane i make and put a texture on it. I was just putting the base logo on a plane and tried to export it, didnt work, it just closed. The material name is "blue_logo!".

So, what ould it be?

It might be the ending !, assuming that you put that on for literal emphasis. Otherwise, I dunno.

I put the ! on for a render only property. So what is wrong with everything?

maybe not have the word "blue" in your textures?

I think I found the problem with the logo and stuff. It had the same name as the material name. Thanks for the suggestion mater_wolf. So I got that all figured out. I am going to try the unwrap UVW soon to see if it still does it.

I got the Unwrap to work to, it was the material names that were conflicting. Thanks for the help.
