New Needle Warthog idea!! NEED HELP!!!

New Needle Warthog idea!! NEED HELP!!!

Im new in the mapping/modeling world and im trying to make a NeedleWarthog, i know this is possible because ive seen people do similar things. My thinking is to make it look just like the original warthog but without wheels, but instead to hover just like a ghost would. I want the gun to shoot needles if possible, the only problem im having is that i cant figure out how to get the warthog model into 3ds Max 6 so that i can edit it. Can someone one plz help me i beg of you! I need to know what tools i need to do this and how to do this. Any and all help would be apprieceated A LOT.

umm well. for PC. HHT for the needle shooting and mailkshape for the no tires and HMT 3.5 for the hover.

PC
1:go in to hmt 3.5 then pick the map then goto vehicles and pick which ever warthog and then goto vehicle ID and put it to ghost

2:then goto [mod2] and find that same warthog model and and export all the quality versions and edit it so there are no tires(but don't delete verticies) for all the versions

3: import them back into [mod2] in HMT 3.5

4: open HHT and open the map(duh) and goto th projectiles and find weapons/warthog/chaingun(im asuming)(somthing of that sort) and switch the bullet model with the needle and bullet projectile with the needle projectile!

then make into .ppf using ppf studio and then apply with ppf-o-matic

I have milkshape but i cant seem to find the warthog model to open i got to export>wavefront OBJ>(this is where im stuck). Ive checked the entire Halo PC and Halo CE and even the HMT data folder i cant seem to find it. Ply help again.

BTW: yes i know im a noob
