Open edges

i got this error in tool-
### ERROR edge #246 is open <red>.
### ERROR edge #259 is open <red>
### ERROR edge #599 is open <red>.

i checked the hek tutorial and it said that there were open edges. How do i find where these are in my map and how do i fix them?

open up you map in 3ds max

go to file -> import

on the second pull down list make sure it has .wrl files selected

go to you halo custom edition directory

you should see a file with you map name, import that

now whever ever there is error geometry, thats where you have an error in your map

to fix it, make sure you have the correct vertices welded. if that doesn't work, create polygons in the open areas to seal them. (sometimes neither of those will work, in that case you have to delete some faces that are misplaced)

i opened the .wrl file and this is what showed up.

I dont get it, all it is is this little white line that isnt even inside my level.

then why don't you try deleting it....?

delete the 2 vertices that make it up

there are no vertices even near it.

Edit: also there a couple small dots that arnt on any vertices

Are you sure you opened the .max and imported the .wrl via File->Import? You can't move the camera, just open it and import the .wrl... After that, you can start moving the camera. It's because of the way the .wrl works...

and only select create primitives.
