skinning..help..please...

ok.. ive read thru tutorials and and posts ect.,i have HTMv3, and photoshop, plugin and everything . somebody said u can find the .dds files in HTM, yes i did, but how do u open them in photoshop!????!!!after i do that i can skin the vehicles and wepons, right?

so shorter version - where/how do u open the .dds files to edit wepons/vehicles in photoshop (i have the plugin!)

please read one of the 100 tutorials people have posted or linked in other threads...

the fast answer is Batch Extract the bitmaps out of the level using HMT3.

yes.. after going thru more posts after posting this, i found one which had your tutorial :) which helped GREATLY thank you :D anyway.. i think i changed my backup warthog skin to the headlights... SO... I HAVE NO WARTHOG SKIN... someone PLEASE... PLEASEE!!! either send ( ludaa_a@hotmail.com ) the original bloodgulch.map file OR send me just the DXT1 - warthog.dds.1 file, original one. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do this.. i dont care if its a link or u email :)

ahh i used ur tutorial... it worked thx... but.. when i try to import my new picture that is .dds file, it says it has different file size, i push update, then it says must be DXT2 or DXT3.. what the hecks that mean?? :?: :?: help again :shock: ... and since in ur tutorial it said u work everyday w/ photoshop and im kinda noob, well i used laso and made a cirlce thingy with it around a part of another picture, then used move tool and moved it over to the pic of the skin i was modding. is that the right way to copy pics from one to another (specificly to copy to the skin file)? :?:

???? its not on the list to save in photoshop, DXT1. and it says file must be DXT2 or DXT1 , not DXT... i save it as a .DDS, and i cant inject the file in HMT.

look at the pics in my tutorials.. they even have all the options highlighted you need to check when saving a .dds.
