About the H1 of H2, I have an idea.
There is a section, that looks old which is halo 1 style, but as you move closer up to the bridge you get more advanced so it looks like the covies updated their ship a bit but not totaly completely.
What do you think?
Also the newer architecture can be near the important stuff like the bridge, engine and maybe the hanger. (You can have one team each start out in H2 style room.) Blue in like the dropship chrashed in or something and in the bridge for red.
The dropship will be maybe crashed near the room, just walk out and you have a huge room of weapons, same with the reds but they have an armory while blue has a room filled with them with no ammo. They have to pick it up as they go.
I like that idea of it orbiting around the planet, but an idea is that it got caught in the gravitation pull of the planet and its just floating around the planet/sun. I recommend planet becuase sun will just be non realistic, you would burn before you orbit even once.
I like the idea that its a covie styled map/vessel but maybe have some rooms where they captured some humans like in area 51 or whatever there is the mutated aliens in tubes or something...
That would be cool, the covies doing tests on humans when they were bombarded by another group of covies that sided with the humans and the humans were too chicken to take on a ship themselves so the human allied elites do it for them. I didnt see any reason why to take a big hunk of destroyed ship in space. What are they going to do with it? Like turn it into a saloon? Roffles.

We're pretty much finalised on the major details. There probably won't be any AIs due to netcode issues, the vast majority of the interior will be Halo architecture due to the fact that it's more shiplike with its light frames and versatile panels and also I like it better for spacecraft interiors. However, some areas will use Halo 2 style architecture, as either a) it suits the area better or b) this can be an area where showyness is more important than functionality. The ship is fresh out of the yards, and has been knocked out in her first engagement, so it will be slightly more advanced than the cruisers off Halo.
Also red will start in the general area of the command deck, with their flag in the control room, whilst blue will start in the damaged hangar bay with their dropship laying on its side with supplies spilling out of it. Armouries will be located throughout the ship, giving both teams plenty of chances to find weapons and ammo - due to the fact it's a ship still controlled by Covenant loyalists, the vast majority of equipment onboard will be Covenant, with some captured human equipment in some areas of the ship.
As for location of the ship... she will be drifting dead in space, not in orbit. Although if Reaper wants, he can make a version in orbit after the actual map is released.

Besides, the 0g and dead in spaceness are NOTHING compared to what other things this baby will have

Anyways, it's 6am here, I couldn't sleep so I've been up since 4 drawing out a basic decking plan. Reaper, Snaf, you might find it interesting...

Oh, and Snaf, I'll send you another PM with every kind of room we'll need.
