Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

He asked "when will it be released?" so I think a better answer would be "when it's released".

It looks amazing, even better than the original. Ah... The good old days of Goldeneye, first game I had on my N64...

Can't wait till it's done!

Once I do the railing and steps in the final room, I'll provide some in game pics, rather than renders.

EDIT: You know we were wondering about the FOV in goldeneye...it just hit me...simply check the FOV of the camera in the n64 exports.

thank you....and sry, but no.

The railing is rather simply made, I've just been booleaning together bunches of primitives.

The steps are the same simple ones from goldeneye, but the textures are my own.

I do have a tutorial on extracting geometry from n64 roms
http://www.halomods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=38464

EDIT: UPDATE

I went ahead and ran radiosity...took 2.5 hours

(yeah, i still haven't taken the time to fix the texture on the pipes)

I've already tried sizing down MC some..he's already smaller than I like...If I were to import the bond model from the exports for the sake of comparison, MC would be shorter bond. If I want to make this work without altering the dimensions of the railing, what I probably would need is an altered biped with a thinner ready position. In GE, all the bipeds stand up straight when moving.

Ever compare a map to a woman again, and I will be forced to shoot you.

>_>

But it is an awesome map.

they're low res because
a) they don't take up alot of screen space in the thread
b) lower filesize

c) crappy graphics card
c2) I actually have a good graphics card which can go up to 1280x960 w/o lag, but it doesn't support specular effects or anything reflection related. IMO, designing a level with that card would be worse than designing on a card that can support all that, but only runs well with low resolutions.

Just so everybody knows, progress has slowed to a crawl lately do to school-work, writing an essay for National Merit Scholars(I made 219 on the PSAT last October), and other things. I haven't even played halo over the last 2 weeks, much less worked on my level.

I plan to resume work as soon as my schedule has room.

In the mean time....I believe there are already tags out there for the (RC)P90 and the Walther PPK. A)Are they freely available? B)Are they worth using? C)If A and B are true, should I use them, or should the weapons be made from scratch?
