cause when u make it u have to tell it how many segments u want..... vegito if you want it to be more like halo they used a couple different blend materials to have the grass and sand mix so its more smooth Ill explain how to if u want to im me later itll make your level much more attractive. Youll want to have a inverted hemisphere for the sky with a bitmap for it too (kind of hard to find) so its totally 3d and can look around with.
I could just make on giant uv to fit the whole map, if thats what you mean beastman.

i can, itll be later this week, i have finals and stuff but u can find plenty of tuts at my site www.3ducation.com but yeah ill write up a tut within the next couple weeks that goes totally from creating the level and making it work in halo if theres enough demand for it, dont want to waste a bunch of time when i could be doin maps and models or the site. but yeah if alot of people would like it shouldnt be a problem
Ollie wrote:Hmm.. what did you do the Vegito? Cuz whenever I convert it to an editable mesh/poly/patch, it gives me like 12 vertices to work with and thats it.
well when you do that, select the face you want to have more verts, then go to tessilate and set the number to 0 and then click tessilate a few times
anyway i think vegito's ones were done with heightmaps
They started as heightmaps, but they are raw editing now

Actually, if you pay attention to the dual wielding pics, you would relize that they are tested in here.
