but when i select one its says can't create the shader <none>.shader_enviroment or whatever type i choose.choose a type for the shader <SHADER\MATERIAL NAME>:

When assigning the materials in 3ds max, which .tif's am i allowed to use and which am i not allowed to use? when i try the UVW map thing to see teh material i put on there, it never shows up. does the pic i use for teh ground of the level have to fit it exactly?
