[WIP] BiMyrrha
Re: [WIP] BiMyrrha
Looking very nice.
A plane of water with a sunset would be the perfect atmosphere for this map; you're making what could be the last real map for Halo CE, so make it great.

Re: [WIP] BiMyrrha
A beautiful sunset would fit because of the map being a mining facility. All the pollution would make for nice sunsets.
Anyways, good job on the textures. I like them.

Re: [WIP] BiMyrrha
That rock texture looks extremely UT3 style. Do you plan to use a different one for Halo CE or just "rock" that one both ways?

Re: [WIP] BiMyrrha
Yes, we will be using this as a generic (and by that I mean generously applied) metal texture in the map.
I compared this metal texture to the tutorial metal halo texture after I created it. I didn't use the texture as reference (I was trying to force myself to think how I would go about making the most natural looking rusted metal I could make).
So, I realized what I had done is created a hi-res saturated halo texture. The oversaturation goes with the ancient/worn-out theme as the metals oxidized, and the hi-res part will be used in UT3.

Re: [WIP] BiMyrrha
We've gotten it in-game, so these pictures are proof that not much more. UVs, shaders, and more textures are being worked on.
So, yes, main geometry is final.
Other stuff is being worked on like all hell. Anton has some great ideas that we are working on. I'm working on a special shader stue for one of the textures, and well, you'll just have to stay tuned to find out. Sorry guys . I wish we had more than a teaser, we promise to post when whatever we make does justice.

UVs for the organic mesh are being worked on. So are many textures.

Alright, updated:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dv5BQJMnogg
I know the video is close to nothing quality wise. I'm not going to lie; I don't know anything about video conversion, which program to use, what encoding. It didn't make much sense to give you a 4GB avi file, but I'm not sure how much more sense it makes to give you this.. meh.
The bases aren't finalized. I haven't touched any hard surface besides the bases, and I won't until the bases are up to par.
We're still working on organics. There at least one more texture in that cave to add some diversity.
As for the moving brown rug, that is supposed to be muddy rapids, but as you can see, they are... subpar at the most.
