Microsoft .NET Framework, possible damage?

Microsoft .NET Framework, possible damage?

I was wondering if anybody had any experiences of damage to their PC by downloading Microsoft .NET Framework. This is the download that I'm talking about:

I haven't had any problems and I've had .NET Framework on my computer since well...I built it...(November)
