Master Chief Modeling Question
How would i go about editing master chief's Body armor..Or helmet..I have 3ds max8..and all the other tools.
It depends on what you want to edit.
I'll explain "editable mesh" a bit.
First select a bodypart.
In the right sidebar in 3dsmax with the icons on the tabs choose the modifiers tab. (second one from the left)
There should be a modifier called "editable mesh".
If not, then select ONE part of the chief (the one you want to edit) in a viewport and right-click on it, go to "convert to:" and select "convert to editable mesh" now it should be in the sidebar.
There should be a triangle made out of dots (vertex select), one made out of lines (edge select), one filled (face select), a filled square/rectangle (polygon select) and a filled box (element select).
To find out what they do and which one suits your purposes best, just try them out, by dragging a selection over the active bodypart and try moving the selection around and stuff like that
Hope that helped you out a bit!
