Making glass vehicles

Making glass vehicles

i was wondering how i would go about making a glass vehicle,, since there is no glass shaders in bg,, what shall i do????

|not fully transparent,, but simi,, so you can still see the outline|

ive tried changing bitmaps,, but that doesnt make it transparent,, and its not possible to edit shaders,, ive tried to change the opacity of the bitmap,, but does not work,, just makes it lighter,, i was thinking making a blue bitmap,, and taking out the shaders??

any skillful advice?

try editing the hog shaders with HHT so they use the glass bitmap instead of the hog bitmaps,
just usin the hog as an example

or if you swap the bitmap with the active camo shader that would also werk

Actually, that doesnt work, u have to use the shader of the warthog windshield, ive allready tried the this before. The active camo only turns it to a transparent blue color

yeh..the hog windsheild would be the best thing to do...depending on what kind of glass u want...

Hog shield shader makes it an odd black glass. If you don't mind pink one of the glass shaders for needler works nicely. Also green if you swap with the tele shader.

ya, you could swap the teleporter for the warthog texture and color it white. i've seen it done in underwater-gulch but dont know how to do it myself. mabye you could make the tire marks (like someone did flames from under the wheels) into glass shards like when you break a window!

The windshield shader likes to be clear and white in one layer but if you look at several layers over each other (such as looking through several walls) it looks black and near solid. So if you put it on vehicvles it looks usually black.

well,, the reason i was asking was for i could not inject meta at the time,, but i figured it out and did,, but since some of the dependencies of the meta are not in BG then it comes out looking less layerd and more plain,, but its ok,, im still happy,, thanks anyways fellas

yeh...lol...and u might wanna put the mod up too...it would be cool if u made it breakable glass...lol...someone shoots it and it would fall apart...
