Clay renders distort how the smooth parts of the model look (hood, etc) , try it out, curves have no shadow, and thus look horrible again losing the detail that I am showing with this being a work in progress, for critques on the wireframe. That is all that matters at this stage, not making it look pretty... I know what I'm doing here...
Clay renders work well for non-organic models, WIP, I agree with that.

Please refrain from using profanity in your sig.
you're doing your clay renders wrong. and clay renders work fine for organic models. you don't know what you're talking about.Argrn wrote:Clay renders distort how the smooth parts of the model look (hood, etc) , try it out, curves have no shadow

make a skylight with .5 intesity
then make an onmi right on the skylight
move them both up and over the model (to the side mb)
then press f10 and click advanced lighting - light tracer
then change the enviroment to like a dark blue
then render it

Not bad so far, Your wheel arches need work, and i dont know why you have cut dead verts above some of them, but your wheel arches need to be more round.
You also face the problem of making your pre-NURBS model too high polygon, it will make it more time consuming.
You have some unneccessary lines next to your front wheel arch, you could remove at least 4 im sure.
Appart from that its generally not bad, you have some interesting loops but they cause no problems.
