Need help (modelling error)

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

Need help (modelling error)

Post by Drgear »

okay, I've learned the basics of Gmax, i can do it now, but I hit a snag the other day.

When I created a face with splines and tried to convert it to an editable mesh, it only displayed a few of the areas in the mesh leaving a few out. For example it showed the area around the eye and nose but left everything else out.

I have no idea whats going on and tried vigorously to change it but it isnt cooperating.

If anyone can help me, or it anyone has had this problem with Gmax it would be greately appreciated.

If I understand your problem at all, if you are looking from the back of the mesh, you don't see the ones facing in the opposing direction. If you don't see them, simply move your view in the opposing position looking at the mesh.

If it shows non of the polygons, press F3. :)

Hope these helped at all. :P

No thats not the problem but thanks for the concern. What happens, hmmm, how bout i give an example.

Imagine your modelling your whatever your modelling and you click vertex on edit mesh. When you click that you see all the polygons have like 2-3 faces on each which is very odd. You try to work around it but it hinders you greatly and there are all these odd bumps and graphics errors everywhere..

If this helps at all, can someone tell me how to fix it? If it doesn't don't worry lol I'm getting a picture of it on soon.
