Skinning outside of CE

is there any program outside of CE or the SDK where i can apply the halo skins to the halo models? Whenever i try to appy the skins to the models in bryce, they don't quite 'fit.' thanks.

He's asking if there's a third-party app that will do UVW Mapping and Unwrapping.

Export your mesh from Bryce (i'm thinking it's a whole level) and then import it into Gmax or 3dsmax. Then use the UVW map and Unrwap UVW modifires to skin your level as you like.

thanks, polar, you're getting it, but i'm talking about individual models, like the chief or a grunt. I am asking if anyone knows of a good program (3dsmax or otherwise) that can properly 'wrap' these skins around the models.

There is none. Nothing opens gbx models.
You're problem is that the UV's are not being exported.
Use the "GBXmodel Converter", do a search on halomaps.org for it.
This exports the model with UV's to a .3ds file. Then import this into gmax, or 3ds max if you have it.

YAY thanks you guys. I read your post right as you posted it bacon but only now got it to work. This is exactly what i wanted, so one more question, is there any easy way to apply the colors (orange grunts, green MC, etc)?
