Sure! Go to Modifiers thingy (the wordy tab like things at the top, near File and Tools) click mesh editing, go to STL check, and click check for problems. Any problems you have wil show up in red outlines if you have it in wireframe mode or edged faces. F4 = toggle edged faces F3 = toggle Wireframe mode and F2 = toggle shade selected faces (makes the things you select show up in red). It would be easier to see what things were wrong if you click edges only, instead of faces. Those edges that show up in red (after edges only is selected) are the things that need to be deleted. Seeing as each polygon has only 3 sides, deleting just one edge will delete a whole polygon for you.

Now if you do find overlapping faces, go to editable mesh, polygon mode, and if you remember where you saw those red lines appear from the STL check? Delete the things that were red and remake them.

oh, and you might have to select a check mode, so you know what kind of error you are deleting.

~Happy modeling :D
