Exactly how do i open the "DDS" files?

.dds files are textures.. so..
get photoshop - www.adobe.com
get dds plugins - http://files.halomods.com/viewtopic.php?t=22537

place plugin in C:\program files\adboe\plugins folder

Dude, do you know of a free program that can? (so i don't have to worry about a time limate or illegally download it. I'd rather not.. the trial is... limated... and due to vacation in a few days i'm kinda limated in that area too...

Download Convim and GIMP (both are free), and I hear gimp is pretty good.
