yeh i was going to say... yeh nukes are overdone, and i haven't heard of a covie nuke anyhow... mb i'll have it for my big desert map that i hope to comeplete as well. as for weapons, how about this mb?

about the explosion, maybe make it like pillar of autom were you hit a switch and vents open, if you blow up whats in side the vent then you damage the core, if you succesfully blow up each of the opposing vent things or just a single vent, their base is more easily accesed. And if all the vents are eliminated, the core has random explosions that dont do a lot of damage and sysmic (spelling?) waves that only hurt your sheilds... very complicated i know, but just a thought.

cutscene between levels shows the chief dropping a bomb into the power core and it causes a super-explosion

hey snaf... this map is lookin good. I was thinking that maybe you could add some more sweet machinery-looking stuff in the core room, not only to make it look less simple (this core is powering an entire convenant cruiser!), but it would provide some more cover in that room. Not too much tho... but those pillars seem kinda pointless cuz they look like they are deliberately in the way. I think you should have it so that none of the features look intentional for the purpose of fair fighting. Lol another crazy suggestion i had was... since you are making an all-covenant map... and since maps where you play as grunts, jackals, or elites have already been made... what if the player biped was a HUNTER! haha.. maybe have a gun in one arm and the rechargable fuel rod cannon in the other. That would mean no arm for grenade throwing, which might be a good idea given the size of the map. That would be a feature that would catch the CE community's eye for sure. heheh just some stupid suggestions...

the screen gets all white, and your shield goes down.
You could have like a panel and you have to hold it for say, uh, 10
seconds, and if you die, it starts over. and if you DO activate the
overload everyones screen goes white and everyones sheild goes down.

i assume the way it will work is there will be one of these rooms on each side of the core, would i be correct in thinking that? im tryin to make a mental pic of how this will all look :P
update here. a few renders to show what i've done.

new flagrooms have been made that fit the theme better
