HaloWars: A Space Battle

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

HaloWars: A Space Battle

The idea behind HaloWars: A Space Battle is to have a full scale StarWars universe space battle. The Images above are all models I have created to be used as vehicles. One interesting aspect of the Millennium Falcon is that I visioned you to be able to roam, hide, full fledged battles in the interior of the Falcon, but yet still be a piloted vehicle. This is the part where everyone jumps the gun and says "you can't do that, the master chief will fall out and die the moment the vehicle is being piloted". All the better, should make things interesting. I visioned the vehicle to only be able to be piloted by running inside into the cockpit, with passenger seats in the cockpit and lounge area, and working turrets for the Falcon.

I visioned this map to have multiple Tie-Figters as well per team. Four or five of them per side. The base will be a full scale StarDestroyer that cannot be piloted and will contain all the weapons/ammo/powerups/flag. The StarDestroyer will consist of just the single landing bay and perhaps the bridge that will look over the space battle. StarDestroyer has yet to be modeled.

I believe this is all possible to achieve (but I'm no expert). I attempted to create a team on the gearbox forums but I had no luck, and was instructed to post here. I have no team and am desperate for help or this project will not be completed. I am talented in modeling in AutoCad (exports nicely into .3ds format) and unfortunately I do not have the artistic skills to skin very well. I am requesting volunteers that will help with the skinning, HEK/Sapien/Tool and any modding that will need done to accomplish my goals.

Feel free to criticise, or give helpful advice. Anyone up for the challenge of helping me complete this project?

Haha. This looks cool.
However, how are you going to import the stuff through AutoCAD?

Autocad exports nicely into 3dmax.

Weird... I always thought autocad was just for drafting and design... my drafting class uses it to print out drafted drawings and stuff... I didn't know you could model with it!

I like this model idea, I think I would help you out on that, I got a team already made for modeling, drafting and stuff. Contact me when you have the time. But other than that, so far so good.

Thanks to everyone volunteering, lets not bring up beta testing until we are in the final stages of a beta. Patrick I could use your help with the scenery, PM me or talk to me on AIM (MarkisMillennium), and that goes to anyone else that is interested in helping. I'm looking for skinners, and people that are familiar with the HEK, unfortunately all my skills evolve around modeling.

I thought of lightsabers, its a possibility....do you have the knowledge in HEK in making it possible for these bad boys to fly?

If your up for the challenge you can attempt this, or leave the position open for someone else. Are you still interested in scenery work as well?
