How to inject textures without replacing..?

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

How to inject textures without replacing..?

Post by dalecooper »

I would like to do more custom texturing - I'm decent with Photoshop and modding in general. But I don't know how to inject a texture so that it is new, and link it back to a particular map, without changing the texture all across the board. In other words I'd like to play a modded map with new textures, but have other maps show up with their original textures. I know this is possible - apparently IronForge did this with his flame banshees (which are, by the way, immensely cool).

Thanks.

when your using halo map tools, and you open a certain map and inject a texture, its only gonna show up for that map.Along with ppf's, thats why they r map specific. when u use them on a certain map, thats the only map that activates then, the other maps are original.so when u inject ur textures to a certain map of your choice, it will only show for that map, not changing everything else

u use halo map tools to make a texture, then you save that texture as pure meta, then you take it and inject it at the end of file.. make sure its saved as pure meta in the program "halo map tools" thats the rite one, rite?
