making a kick*** map!!! need help editing triggers
iam making a map... i got alot of the modeling and the actual mapping done!!! not the best work but something to start with...
MY MAP
I am working on a map... It will be for 8 people, (8 max, 8 suggested)
heres the breakdown
STORY::
*Breif Party (Players 1-8 ), Mission: "Your mission is to take a small tactical force and land it on planet Trinia (Human Colony, also location of an infamous U.N.I. Reasearch Facility), once you and your men are in place make your way to an abandoned stronghold, where you and your men will make refuge. When the time comes you need to try to establish contact with the U.N.I. Research Facility and take the remaining scientist back to the stronghold. There's some serious **** going on down there so be prepared and good luck. MOVE OUT!!"
*Show Cinematic, Cinematic: Shows a large version of the pelican carrying 16 marines, the ship is flying low over a desolate planet with ruins of destruction everywhere... Flood begin piling out of buildings and attempt to attack the ship, one shoots a rocket at the ship... the ship crashes..
*Mission: Get your men safely to the stronghold!
*You and your party (players 1-8 ) plus 8 computer controlled marines make your way through swarms of flood where you reach the abandoned stronghold.
*The Stronghold, (going to give it a real name but havent decided yet), looks simular to the coagulation base with several large differences... But until i get some screen shots just imagine the coag base surrounded by a chasm, abyss, w/e, and there is a bridge going over it to the base.
*Once you arrive, the 8 computer controlled marines man the turrents and begin destroying the flood approaching the base.
*The turrents, the turrents on the base will be abnormally strong and kill flood with ease, this is to make sure that they DO NOT enter the base, since it isnt part of the story.
*Once the computer controlled marines are doing thier thing the eight players will have a choice to make...
*Breif Players, POPUP: Select a class: Assassin (Cloak, Increased Speed, Sword, Binochulars), Scout (Increased Speed, etc), Engineer (Ability to build/upgrade autoguns, repair vehicles), Soldier (good with average weapons), Heavy Soldier (good with heavy weapons, Slow Spees, Increased Health), Demolition (Flamethrower, Flame Bombs), Medic (Ability to heal party members), Sniper A(Sniper Rifle, Night Vision, Increased Jump)
*All classes will be able to use weapons, some of just better then others, I STILL havent really got the classes down the way I want them to be. Open for suggestions. I EXSPECIALLY need to make sure they are balanced!!
*Once everyone has a class, (one class per person!! no two people can have the same class...
*At first the party will probaly go around and kill some flood (NOT NORMAL flood! more like legendary hard) and get some EXP.
*Thats right! I said EXP, each kill will give you EXP, once you have a certian amount you will level up and gain a certian amount of skill points. You can use these skill points at the stronghold to upgrade you abilities, weapons, armour, spead, health, shields, etc....
*At some point in time the party will recieve a distress beacon from the research facility... SO its time to rescue the UNI scientist...
*The party begins to work there way up to the UNI facility but there are tons of flood everywhere (think starship troopers), so the party is plowing through these floods when they start to notice some wierd ****.
*Flood types they have never seen before, some glowing in plasma, large flood creature literally puking up the little squids, squids swarming everything, strange mutant flood....
*Now its getting hard, the party may have to retreat several times and heal...
*IF they make it to the facility it will show another cinematic, Cinemation: Shows expierements with flood, humans, convenent, etc... Pretty freakish stuff.
*So the Party is like, TO THE SCIENTISTS: "WHAT THE HELL IS THIS ****!!!!"
*This scientist begin to explain but, BANG... Building is being swarmed by flood, TIME TO GO!
*Now the party must get the SCIENTIST back to the stronghold.
*Lets say they are back now
*Scientist tell them whats been going on etc etc etc
*Then the party is like lets get off the ****ed up rock...
*Scientist are like, NO!, We have to destroy our mistake first...
*So the contact UNI via radio, ask for a gigabomb... UNI agrees and send a drop ship.
*Drop Ship is off target, now they have to go get the **** thing... So the party makes thier way to the drop point. FInd the gigabomb, a flatbed truck and two warthogs. (THEY FOUGHT ALOT OF FLOOD ON THE WAY)
*Time to get back to the stronghold agian...
*Back...
*Scientist rig the bomb...
*They tell you about some caves, that go deep and you can put the bomb there.
*Make your way to the caves, fight some freakish flood....
*Fight a Super Freakish Flood BOss person... hes this huge mass of flood material with peices of tank, covenent vehicles embeded in his body, hes around 20-30 tall, like a giant golem of technology and flood fused...
*You fight him, its really hard, but your a pretty high level by now... IF you kill him, then you continue through the caves and set the gigsbomb.
*Now you have 20 minutes to get to the stronghold pick up the scientist and get to the abandoned space port.
*IF you get to the space port ALIVE you board a ship and leave the f*ed up planet...

plan on it being up to 8 players, via system link... possible xbox live(have to test that and make sure theres a way to do it without being banned or ask bungie to have a user made maps downloadable content thing)
So what do you think?
A Halo RPG type thing with classes etc... BTW this is a LEVEL not a game. probaly start off as a cache file that you replace another map with and play...
I could use some help with this project, if anyone is expirenced.

when i said cinematics
when i said cinematics i didnt mean actual movies, just like in halo 2 campaign at the beginning of the game it might show the camera spin around the character or show a pelican landing and you getting off.... its not REALLY a cinematic...
