How would i weld vertexs together if there different objects in 3d max? Example : we you die in halo, you can see some polygons stretch out so it dosin't show inside the model. well i want to do that.

well if ur making a new biped model, youd have to make bones for the model(do a google search) and the reason the stretch out is because when the character is alive it is like a stretched rubberband and when it dies it relaxes and sometimes the arms relax too much and they look like the guys on crack
and to youyr question, you cant, but u can attach them and make different elements
