[request] Chromakey Map, a Halo CE machinima tool

Finish a new model/mesh? Got something you're working on? Finish a new map? Here's the place to post it for feedback and whatnot.

[request] Chromakey Map, a Halo CE machinima tool

Post by skyman8081 »

The map idea of chromakey is a map with a specific purpose in mind that is not meant for actualy game-play, this is a Halo CE map that I would like to be made, for a machinima project of mine and anybody else who would like to work with machinima and to do pseudo-Motion Control in Halo, it's use would be in effects shots, or for the purpose of motion control.

The conceptual diagram I had in mind for this map is this:

Blue areas would be textured to have all the surfaces be this texture:

The green areas would have this all over them:

The use for this map is in machinima production, as the green and blue surfaces would be removed in post-production, and another video image added in behind the forground action.

In my opinion, this diagram is improperly scaled, as any vehicle in the garage area should have enough room to get out if all the other ones are in the default place. Each of the shooting stages should be around the same size as the map "Hang 'em high" to facilitate movements of each of the large vehicles.

Ideally, the vehicles would be the ones used in the Zanzibar CE map, but I do not know the status of the availiblity of that data-set, or if it is possible to de-compile CE maps. The reason, is that this project is going to use background plate shout using Halo 2, and the vehicles, player-models, and weapons are similar to Halo 2, and would create a more consistent look. However, I do not believe that I will be able to do that.

Any assistance to the map-maker that I am can help with I am willing to do.
Somewhere on the Millenium Falcon, there is a naked Stormtrooper, named TK-421
