YOYORAST ISLAND: Potentialy, the best map ever made but...

I agree this map looks amazing. I would like to see new vehicles as long as they arent too crazy. I would like to see some Halo 2 weapons. Great work on the map. Can't wait for it to be released.

Hi guys
I have been in vacations for a week and now I'm back and have just reworked the model of the map to make it more clearer, simple and to improve the gameplay (well, what I imagine the gameplay will be):
- there is now a new building/beach base (you land there by the teleporter)... I made it because I thought the way for bipeds was to fast to the flag in comparaison with the way with hogs... this beach base (and the new parcour in general) are a way to make bipeds parcour a bit longer
then you have to climb between the 2 high corniches/walls and take the left way...
In effect there is now one way for the soldats (left) and the other way is for the hogs (this way I could eliminate a ramp wich wasn't necessary)...
then (if you took left way) you follow the only way you have, you'll reach a tunnel (entrance on the left of the picture):
wich brings you there on the other side of the island( in front of the towers)...
then there (again on the other opposite side of the island)...
and then you know the way by looking at the old plan I did...
- there is now a 3rd hole in the main montaine from wich you can snipe in direction of the beach base..
...9952 polygons!!!
Spandexman and Mastergunner I must say I file sorry not having answered you personaly guys... as for all the guys out there that have been proposing their help... I appreciated your works but I had to choose only one guy and this guy is Supreme Taco despite the fact that he seems to be very busy in this moment, I'm sure he will find the time to do the job and to to it well... So guys thanks again and no offence but I think a little team is better for the moment.

Ps: I never played Myst or trackmania but played "payback" on PowerPc AMIGA a lot... You guys shoorly don't know it but it's a very good gta2 (but all in 3d) style game... there is a windowse version in budget form... whatever :p

No no , I want it the most realistic as posible.. at least in the textures. I tought about putting some sand or another rock on the beach and maybe some brown ground but didn't took time to find the way to do it...sonictag wrote:Wow, it looks better every time, im not sure about having grass in some of the places you do though (its unrealistic), but it is a fantasy world so hey what the hell, it will probably look cooler like that. Now, there is no such thing as the "best" map because it is different for everyone. The "best" map would be based on a persons own individual intrest.
And, this map just looks simpley amazing. Very Complex and well designed. Also a low poly count for what it would seem. This could be one of the most complex maps yet to be released. And I truely cannot wait for this to be finished.
