wats going on, i hav the material ids all right, but when i go in to UVW mapping this is what it looks like

It wont work as an image
use this


Try going to Modifier > UVW Map and put it on planar, it looks like you painted the material on there with a vertex paint.. If you did you need another texture ontop of it.

go into the uvw unwrap, select all the vertecies and scale, then lift the top vertecies up (or down) to stop the texture from streching that way.
