I wasnt really planning on making htis a level. But I do have a question for you guys, how would I go about gettign this in game.... now before you call me a n00b and flame me, hear me out.
There are so many errors in this piece of BSP when I run and STL Check that nearly the entire thing is red. What do I do about this. There is no way I am going to manually fix all those errors. Maybe all the different pices are jsut detached, and the errors wil only show up in STL. I was just wondering.
Also, if you have any spots left, I would love to help model for this project.
But I am crap with skinning.
You may be a little suspicious because this is my first post, but i am great at audio editing, took 3 years of training with photoshop, and can haul my weight with guerilla, so if you need help with any of these seemingly not taken spots, im happy to sign on to the team

well spark edit screws around with the bsp alot when exporting. it was original ment only for viewing in a modeling program etc. so if you really wanted this to be ingame you would have a better time modeling the bsp yourself.
A level that is 10 km long, by another 5 wide, to accomodate the Unyeilding Hierophant, is going to lag so much a supercomputer would cack its pants. I love the idea, only its going to give you .5 fps.

I've had just about the same idea and posted this back when we were learning meta swaps on halo PC.
And just now I posted it for halo CE and we've started work on it. Then you pop-up with this topic....I see a connection here.
Here is my concept for you to compare...
This is a map idea that I have been toying with for a long time now, and I think that with all of the current
achievements we may just be able to pull it off.
I was thinking of creating a large launch bay stationed in some sort of blood gulch esque area with slingshots for
longswords, like multiple tracks shooting the longswords into the skies.
I wanted to give them collision models and have them actualy be pilotable, maybe even with a First person view for
when you drive them. And you actualy have to walk around inside the LS to take control of it when you sit down.
Now that is just part of it, the whole launching idea is to send you through a giant teleporter that takes up the
whole top of the map, except it is skinned like the space and the sky.
The red team will spawn on the ground with the longswords, and the blue team will spawn in "space" aboard a
covenant cruiser. And we could possibly model some covie fighters for some sweet space battles.
I was also thinking of implementing ground battles by making a teleporter for the blue aboard the covie ship
teleporting them to the center of a covie grav beam in the center of the "blood gulch" creating some realy
interesting playability.
The main problem is the whole large sky teleporter deal. We would have to make the vehicle that the player is
in sort of merge with the biped, fooling the tele into thinking that it's just a MC going through a tele.
I think it would be amazing if some one was to take this idea up and turn it into a map/mod.
Even better if nitrous and doublefire saw it because *cough* halo 2 mod *cough* might have something to do with it
I've never even heard of you, let alone your idea, and I've had this idea since I first started modding. And I'm a lot more skilled than you and I AM A HUNTER SO DON'T BACKCHAT YOUR SUPERIOR OFFICERS!
Really, I don't care if you go ahead with your mod and release it but this will own all previous maps including NM and Zanzibar, which probably won't be finished before Halo 2 comes out on Xbox. So there.
And that idea sounds nothing like mine, I've seen what you've said on GB, and I will have you banned if you don't change that.
