I thought I would post this thread so people could ask questions about the forum merge or make comments. I expect that it will take a few days to complete the merge and move all the content over to the new box, and hopefully it will go smoothly. Iron_Forge is the brainiac that wrote the scripts to perform the merge, so any technical questions can probably best be answered by him.
Well it's not like we're releasing everything. But I am glad we can sort of help people understand. This is certainly a bold move, and can only go 2 ways. Up, or down. I am however confident in Grenadiac's choice, and support it fully. (Better than the NT server eh Gren? )
It always seemed like the community was always just hanging out at one forum or another, so I think it's a great idea to merge the two of them. But I have a question... will we have to make new accounts, or will we keep one of our old ones? If so, which old one do we get to keep? Good luck on the situation guys.
